Volac began in 1970, as a collaboration between the dairy industry entrepreneur Dick Lawes and a talented veterinary student, Philip Paxman.
Starting as a speciality Animal nutrition company, Volac soon emerged as a leader in value-added dairy ingredients.
In the late 1980’s Volac underwent a key manufacturing transition. They pioneered the use of advanced ultra-filtration technology to extract high-quality protein from liquid whey.
When whey protein became a key component for the consumer health foods , Volac was able to leverage its technological advantage and quickly establish itself as a leader in the space.
Today Volac continues to be a leader in the space, continuously innovating and delivering superior products in the dairy component space
